Semeris Docs released

Published 3. November 2020.

Today, we are launching our first product, a document library called Semeris Docs for CLOs. Our library service launches with European CLO documents and summaries on over 75 transactions.

Superpowers for CLO legal analysis

Semeris Docs takes the pain out of reviewing documents, helping you navigate the jungle of legal language. Summaries of the key terms, a super-charged document viewer aware of legal terms and cross-deal comparisons, give our customers superhuman powers achieving huge time savings on legal review.

Semeris Docs is built on NLP (natural language processing) and the latest AI techniques, combined with human curation, to provide accurate summaries and interactive versions of legal documentation in the capital markets. To maintain transparency, the deal summaries include an instant direct connection between analysis and source documents.

A growing CLO library

As part of the service our team of document analysts and expert curators add new deals to the library. Our customers can get their CLO deals (pre-closing reds or final blacks) into the library with quick turnaround enabled by our hybrid software/human curation process. We are also proactively collating public notices for each deal to give you the full picture.

We have already started adding deals to our US CLO library, which we plan to release in Q1 2021.

Built on insights from key CLO players

At an early stage after founding the firm, we started to show our prototype product to managers, investors, arrangers, lawyers and trustees from all across the CLO market. Interest has been strong with feedback that provides the core of our product development plan. Customers are really enthused by our feature previews such as tracking synonyms of defined terms across deals.

We are launching with feedback incorporated from more than twenty world-class players with different viewpoints.

Our team

Semeris was founded in April 2020 by CLO market veteran, Peter Jasko, and fintech entrepreneur, Sam Daroczy to focus on applying NLP and AI technologies to legal documentation in the capital markets. With an international team of 15 software developers, curators, sales and marketing specialists, Semeris is privately funded from the founders’ three previous fintech exits.
